I bought a Eagle brand flask at Rathna Stores, in T.Nagar Ranganathan St. for Rs.220/- 6 months back. I used it only for 2 days. I used to keep only bounvita in the flask. The third day, I surprised to note that the top portion of the glass is broken. As I could not locate the purchase receipt, I am unable to go for exchange.
Earlier, about 2 years back also, I had this kind of experience. That one was more worse than this one. I bought one butterfly brand flask (steel) at Saravana Stores for Rs.996/- with one year warranty. I used it only for one month. Thereafter, whatever I keep in the flask will get cool in other 10 minutes. Then I took it to the service center 2 times for repairing. They did nothing. Both the time, they used to keep the flask with them for one week and used to return. Third time, I hesitated to take it for repairing. As I was very busy, I could not bring the same to this forum.
On the same day when I bought a branded flask, I bought one ordinary flask for Rs.60/-. That flask was excellent upto the time it was stolen, i.e., 3 months back.
Likewise, 6 months back, before going for a branded flask, I bought one ordinary flask for Rs.125/- at Pudupet Market area. That one is excellent till to-date.
So, can we come to a conclusion, that the branded companies are cheating the public, with the brand name.
