I purchased one blood sugar meter named "Advance Micro Draw" of "Hypo Guard" make from Niranjan Orthopaedic Appliances Centre, C/o Niranjan Medical, 3/17, K.K.Banerjee Road (Near Old State Bank), Berhampore, Murshidabad, Ph No - 03482-255840 on 25.10.2006. At the time of purchase the seller praised a lot about the product. It was also stated that the product was of "LIfe Time Warranty" and that was also printed on the packet and owner manual. Things were going on good. But very recently when I asked the seller to supply me the test strips required for the test (without which the meter is of no use), I came to know from him that the product had already been discontinued three year back, and so he could not supply me the same. Now my question is how a product claimed with "Life Time Waranty" be discontinued within a year from the date of purchase? If so, is it not the liability of the seller to replace the same with the newer version free of cost? Please do the need full in the direction either to replace the metter or supply of test strips as and when required. The cost price of the meter was Rs.2450.00.
