Hi..

I have been using AirTel friends plan from last 2 and half years. But just 15 days back, my cell got stolen, and unfortunately lossed my SIM too. So the first step i have done is, i called Customer Care and asked him to block my number so that the person who had stolen my cell would not miss use my number. After telling him all the details, he asked me certain questions for verification like Name, Address, When did i got this number, my last recharge amount, approx available balance and many more. After going through all these, he said (Customer Care) that after 4 hrs, it will get blocked.

On the very next day, i went to ARC (AirTel Relationship Center) to get the new SIM card while keeping my existing number. Their i have given my address proof, the person sitting their in ARC said that my SIM with the same existing would start working after 48 hours. But unfortunately it didn't started. I again went to ARC and told them about this problem, now they are saying that this number is not registered with any user. Now my question is, if it not registered with any one then how i was using it from last 2 and half year, also while blocking my SIM card, the customer care executive got information from me and after confirming, he blocked my SIM. Now these AirTel guys are saying that this number is not registered with any one??? Ok. One more question, if it not registered with any one then while calling on that number it should not give "Temp out of service" rather it should give "Number does not exists" message.

This is really frustrating. It seems that, AirTel does not need customers as their n/w is already grown. Due to their mistake and seek of knowledge, i have to swith to another service provider, which is causing me problem as I have lossed my number stored in that SIM too. Now i didn't have cell number of my near one's and they have the number which is currently not working. I appeal that please some take action on it, i don't any one to suffer the same.
