Poor customer service

I, Shweta Gupta (having email id [email protected]) working in EXL Service (Noida), took Airtel post-paid CUG connection (9971822445) on 4th August. Verification was done at my home & office address. There was some confusion related to my billing address. I got a few messsages regarding the validation proof for which I spoke to Airtlel's representative - Gurpreet. He advised me that the messgaes I have been getting is due to change in billing address. I told him the final address (my home address) as billing address. At that point of time he never advised that I would need to submit verification proof for the same.

Later on 17 Septmy my outgoing were barred. I called customer services to know the reason, they told me it is due to verification proof (which I thought was to do with the intial verification) I told the executive that its already been done I was then told that probably our records are not been updated as they had been some promblem with the server. On 24 Sept my incoming calls were also stopped. After I spoke to some senior manager then he looked into the matter and explained me that why this problme has occured and I need to submit the proof at Airtel outlet. I went to Airtel Outlet (Shopprix Mall Noida) on the same day and submitted the ID proof. I was told that my services would be activated within 24 hrs. Then again nothing happened. In between I spoke to Airtel executive - Virender who said that they have received relavant documents and services would be activated within an hour. Nothing happened till 6 Oct, again I had to go Airtel outlet. There I was advised that they had sent the documents to documentation center on 25 Sept (they had receipt) however records were not been updated at their end due to some server problem in Airtel. 7 Oct I went to Airtel outlet (Pusa Road) were I was told that this number cannot be activated.

I lost the count of number of times I have called Airtel. Long calls in que, endless hold, unintentional apologies and Server is down is what I got I gotfrom these calls. I was also given the number for Nortel officer & documentation center which are of no use.

I was using another service provider's number for 7 years before this. I never ever faces any problem, my phone was not disconnected even for 5 minute. I took Airtel as I thought is it the best services provider because I have one another Airtel number since last three years, but I was wrong to go to Airtel again. And surprizingly Airtel disconnect my number after I paid my first bill (after one month).

Now since I have been told that I can't usethe same number, I want the advanced rental back (I took 699 advance rental plan). Also I would like you to give me back Rs.500 which was advance deposited by me & supposed to be paid back to me in my future bills. I also need to be compensated for the harresement and stress I have been given by Airtel otherwise I have no other option but to go to consumer forum.
