I am writing this mail with respect to a malpractice / harressment observed by an associate company of Idea Cellular which sells new connections to the consumer on behalf of the company. One such company is A2Z MARKETING SOLUTIONS, 1/27, Ist FLOOR, NEAR TILAK NAGR METRO STATION, TILAK NAGAR, NEW DELHI-18, PH-47018188, 9540012901
It was 10 March when I was approached by a phone call from Idea Cellular for any requirement of new connection. Since I was looking for a new number hence I asked them about the tariffs and plans. The lady named "Shweta" briefed about the available plans and tarriff along with the option to have any desired number. I asked them for a number which was similar to my existing one. She committed that the said number is available. The next day one of their rep - Vipin Kr Pandey visited our premises and took the desired documents. He then handed over us a IDEA SIM Card along with a receipt with the mentioned of the desired number on it. He confirmed that upon verification the connection shall start in about 24-48 hrs. The same evening, verification call came and all requried information was confirmed.
Now begins the malfunction part. 3-4 days got over and the connection was not started. I tried to check with the Idea customer care but could not reach them as nobody picked the phone. I tried many times but could not reach them. Then I tried A2Z MARKETING SOLUTIONS. The same lady Shweta confirmed that the desired number is not available and hence cannnot be given. Instead I will have to take any other number. I simply rejected the offer and asked for the refund fo Rs 200.00 whcih I had paid.
Since then I have been trying with Idea but nothing happended. I wrote several mails to Idea but nothing happened. later i came to know from others that these third party marketing companies are regularly in such practice of giving false information & committment to the consumers just to have larger order bookings. And service companies like Idea are a part of such trade.;
For an organization like IDEA which is trying to promote their product & services by AD campaign its really a disgrace to have dealers employing staff indulging in such malpractice. Some body should do the checks and balances where ever required so that the customer is not duped.
