Misrepresentation on Solicitation

Sales call stating my name was picked from Visa/Mastercard usage list and winning 3 magazine subscriptions, diamond watch, and name entered into cash drawing. Only needed to purchase 1 additional magazine. Sounded like a good deal, until the confirmation letter came. None of the phone conversation details matched the order confirmation letter. After replaying a recorded conversation of the order on the original phone call, I was confirmed correct. I was told that was the way the publishers took the orders and that the full 5yrs would be honored. I immediately cancelled, with a followup letter of my own. I was told I could not cancel because they paid the publishers upfront and they billed me to repay themselves in 16 payments. Yea right. I said No No that was their problem and the written paperwork would over ride the phone conversation. Basic contract law. All this happened over a period of six days including weekend days from phone to receiving their letter in the mail to sending them back a certified letter. Oh, and the cash drawing was a separate thing not even mentioned in their letter! A sad misrepresentation for sure.
