The Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd, Delhi, has failed to provide telephone service since the first week of January. My complaint No. 596 of 15.01.2012 with Tel No. 198 and subsequent reminders could not revive the service till today the 21.02.2012. Representation by more than 30 consumers of our colony, whose telephones are not working for the last about two months, through Residents Welfare Association also did not have any effect.
The MTNL, Delhi has now sent me bill for the month of January (01.01.2012 to 31.01.2012) amounting Rs. 661.00, Whereas there should be O charges for this period and also for the subsequent period till the service is restored.
The MTNL should cancel the present bill put me on O charges till they are able to rectify their inefficiency in providing the service.
