No activation for 3 months

I apply for airtel prepaid, in chennai, after 3 months they still din't activate it and besides I lost my no.

I call costumer care and they said recharge with Rs. 18 now since I have lost my no. How can I do easy recharge? I ask them if they could provide my no. or just activate it. their reply was SORRY WE CANNOT PROVIDE YOUR INFORMATION... I want to swear right now. Its true after reading all the reviews how airtel service is really...
