Hi

I have a Aircel number and wanted to port it out of Aircel as the service is very poor. I gave a request to the new vendor on Wed (27 Apr) but on Friday (29th Apr) I get a response from the new provider that Aircel has rejected my MNP request stating that "Your Port in request for Mobile number 98414xxxxx has been rejected by your service provider due to outstanding payments". When I contacted the Aircel customer service I was able to talk to them they say my outstanding is "zero" but status is "Payment due", not sure what type of system they have. In this process I lost the amount I paid for the new operator.

Another discovery that may be of use to others, Aircel will not connect to customer service if you call them from an Aircel mobile either 121 or 9841012345. It just gets disconnected when it says"... connecting you to our customer service" - this was an accidental discovery after 2 hrours of experiment calling the customer service.

I have to now try after few days - one more opportunity for Aircel to reject my MNP request
