I had connection from Airtel while i was in India. I moved to US in August and before moving i made sure that i have disconnected all my mobile and other services.
I have written several email requesting dicsonnection of my airtel number 7760366366 and even placed calls on the customer service numbers to make sure that the disconnection will be effective especially after knowing the poor record of service. I am in receipt of the acknowledgment mails and confirmation of the request. I had requested for disconnection on 11 Aug.
The number is in name of my husband Arindam Guha and I had been using it since beginning.
I do understand that the it might take few days here or there to act on the service so i was not surprised to receive the bill for the month of Aug.
But to my shock and horror, i received the bill for the month of Sep as well. I immediately reverted but no body cared to respond.
All I have is the auto generated acknowledgement mails from the Airtel And lo and behold soon after i started getting collection mails.
Each time i responded on email since there was no direct number where i could have reached.
All in all it has always been a one way communication.
Suddenly i get a notice from Airtel informing me of the lok adatal initiate. I was also given numbers of airtel personnel who i can speak to and sort out the issue. I did that and again this time i was asked to put it all in mail and i was assured response post checking.
Now, the things are gone to the next level where my family back home is getting harassed by your collections people.
To put this in order, why should i be paying for the services when i was confirmed disconnection and i had not used the service? I would appreciate if this can be sorted out at the earliest.
