Height of negligence/ misusing of Customer data

Dear Sir,

Enough speaking to the irresponsible staff of Air tel. It is sad to see the company spending tonnes of money to escalate the brand, but the very basic requirement of a customer is ignored by the corporate giant Airtel.

With the current state where competition is at the peak believe it is the aggression in the corporate to retain their position in the market unfortunately the attitude of the complete Airtel Staff they can be sure that they may not be in capacity to retain the position what they have.

My name is R.SKumar. hand pone number : 98457 00966. I had this connection for more than 5 years and had been a very regular payment master till before 3months. this connection was taken in Bangalore and i was using it continuously till the said time in spite of my migration to other states.

Due to heavy bill amount (roaming) i opted for change in my billing plan but my heavy usage resulted in hefty bills month after month. Finally decided to change it to prepaid account (start of the main trouble) which went to the deaf ears, my repeat request to the customer care (so called) excutives, nodal officers went in the AIR (this might be the reason they named the company AIR TEL, because everything goes in the AIR)

Then i told the AIRTEL staff that my bills will be settled once my prepaid account is active. Unfortunately the response from the people at AIRTEL is just like talking to the computer with same answer.

The biggest shock of my life is to see such a BIG company misusing the customers data without his knowledge. THEY STARTED TO CALL THE PREVIOUSLY DIALLED NUMBERS AND PROPOGATE ALL MY FRIENDS AND RELATIVES THAT I HAVE NOT PAID THE OUTSTANDING.

My history of payments made till such time has just gone to the dust bin, AIRTEL didnt have time to give a thought for the cause of the change in the customers attitude who used to be loyal and very good payment master, many a times i used to overpay my bills and have credit in my account with my excess payment.

The fact is that i have never ignored my payment to AIRTEL. The collection agent from AIRTEL promised me that he shall handover the prepaid SIM after settling the outstanding, for which i travelled alll the way to bangalore for this, the person who promised didnt have curtosy to atleast call or message that he will not come. next day he calls and says he forgot.

My agony didnt end at this, the last tool of AIR TEL was to hire goondas to threaten me for the bill payment, after visiting my house in my absence. the collection agent from AIRTEL literally threatened me that they would call all the dialed numbers and inform them that i have not settled my dues.

His language was totally rude and he titled me that i don't have capacity to pay my bills. When this was escalated to the nodal officers at Bangalore they just ignored my words and strict on the concrete words to settle my outstanding.

Soon after my call with the collection agent from AIR TEL i went personally and cleared my outstanding at the Airtel relationship center at kellys branch in Chennai.

When called the Nodal officer after making the payment THEY SAY THAT MY NUMBER IS PERMANENTLY DISABLED AND I HAVE TO TRAVEL AGAIN TO BANGALORE AND MEET THE RELATIONSHIP OFFICERS (SO CALLED) AND CHECK IF MY NUMBER IS STILL AVAILABLE.

This proves the utter unprofessionalism of the total AIR TEL staff concerned. They are CHEAT and can go to any extent to recover the outstanding and not care about the customers emotions. Till date there is no call in this regard either from the 121, nodal office or any one from AIR TEL office.

The last call from Air tel office was just a quick one to seek the information on the issue as if he doesn't know anything and just hanged the call promising that he would call back without letting me to speak.

Now i am in a position with no option to recover the number i had and in a very insecure condition, because of the threat from the collection agent from AIR TEL.

Only thing iam rewarded for the LOYALTY to AIR TEL is a tight slap on my TRUST with them.

Request the concerned officer to advice in this regard.
