I cancelled my 9989 387707/9989 498707 in October
Post cancellation it was promised that I will get the refund within 20 days.
Almost after 45 days I call up Airtel to check the status, and Airtel representative without any respect tells me to contact the courier department to get the cheque. (Is this my job??)
Without any reference number I cannot call, and reverted back to Airtel and matter was then escalated, this helped me in solving the issue and the cheque was sent after 2 months of cancellation date.
Unfortunately I misplaced the cheque and searched for 10 days. Unable to find I called Airtel @ 121 to know the proceedings.
Airtel Rep advised me to visit the office (Splendid Towers- Begumpet) and I did visit on Feb 18th.
As advised I called at 126 from the office and spoke to Airtel rep called Swathi or so. He confirmed that the cheque would be re-issued in 10 working days.
I repeatedly asked if I need to submit any ID proof as such for which I was told “NO”.
Waited until March and with no response I called Airtel again. The Customer care Rep is not even aware of the situation. Had to repeat the whole story again and was finally told to revisit the office.
Annoyed with this I mailed Nodal Officer on April 3rd. And as expected, no response from Nodal Office
Ashamed of myself being associated with Airtel I again went to Airtel office on April 7th and gave a request. Lady said this will be sent to you in 20 days
Today I called Airtel again, as expected they have no clue/data or anything about April 7th. Spoke to escalation department lady (Fariha) and she herself is not aware of this
No one has an answer on this.
Hope Airtel is sensible enough to return the customers money
