I was being charged Rs. 9.2 per minute for calls to Madagascar.
suddenly AIRTEL decided to increase rates to by 500% to Rs. 45 per minute.
First of all this is unfair.
Furthermore, if they are permitted to raise the prices by as much as 500% are they not required to notify consumers of the same by SMS, paper advertisements. While this may not be possible and desirable for 5-10% increase, but definately required for such an outrageous increase.
My service request no. on May 3rd has not been responded to in writing. Verbally they have informed that this is the company policy.

Need to prosecute them under MRTP or whatever law there is to protect consumers by these malpractices.
