Airtel
Accessing Personal & Confidential info to Armtwist and Blackmail consumers

A background on the issue: Our company has company issued Airtel mobile numbers used by 10 employees. These bills were pending amounting to Rs. 10, 000 odd in total.

On 19th November an Airtel employee/associate, Usha from Interactive Business Solutions called me and spoke in a very crassy and casual language as if I was her roomie, asking about the numbers. I decided not to continue the conversation as I expect to deal with educated and literate people who know the english language and are not off the street. So I politely but firmly asked her to email me and call up later, and i kept down the phone in a most civil manner.

She then started calling up like an obsessed maniac after which I did not take her calls. As an airtel associate what she does next is even more unbelievable. She accesses my personal outgoing phone records (with no affiliation to the company) and starts calling people at random; she yells at them and speaks in the most uncouth and uncivil of languages, mouthing off obscenities to these completely unaware strangers who have no idea whats happening and have no connection to the company. She totally defiles my personal character and the company I work for, with malice and a character assassination intent.

It is very sad that a company like Airtel has fallen so much in grace, and is resorting to such practices through its associates.

No company or third party vendor of services should be privy to such confidential information and to blatantly exploit this to arm twist through character assassination.

Anybody then can resort to any blackmail or use it with malafide intention.

I hope senior people in Airtel get a wake up call or else one day they will find themselves at the bottom of the telecom & respect food chain
