Nonsense and stupid service

It is ridiculous that my prepaid mobile number was suspended WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE to me. Until yesterday (07-Jun-12) morning my airtel number was active and receiving messages. I am in Singapore using this number in roaming. I am a frequent flyer and use this airtel number whenever I am in India (Chennai). While in Singapore, I use this for incoming messages from India.

When I ask about this to the customer care, they say that this number was deactivated as there were no usage for past months or no recharge for Rs.200 for last 6 months. I took this number 4 months ago only and I recharged for 200 when I took the number.

When a number can be deactivated, why can it be activated again?

This is really very annoying. Atleast an SMS or email communication should have been made prior to deactivation.

I received airtel promotional messages yesterday morning also in the same number and evening the number is gone. I had received lots of romotional

broadcasting emails from airtel in the past. When you send those emails, why can't you send an email mentioning the deactivation notes?

Is this what you say customer care? This is real stupid process.

Don't you think that receiving an SMS doesn't mean that the number is in use?

Customer care officer asks me to walk in to a nearest retailer to get a new number; non-sense. Just because you deactivated my number with no prior notice, you want me to walk to a retailer for a new sim card huh?

The worst ever network providers are all there in India. Grab money wherever possible and leave customers in hell.
