I have taken an airtel prepaid no 9840814433, just a month back. There was a call from verification department which was done succesfully, but all of a sudden my sim was blocked with no network coverage and saying sim card registration failed. I had contacted customer services thrice and got 3 answers 1) submit the sim and get a new sim at a cost of Rs 25, 2) contact the distributor 3) check with different mobiles as the sim would be damaged. Airtel customer service in Chennai is horrible, especially the people sitting in the Porur branch seems worst.
