I am Airtel landline and broadband user at Bangalore with landline number 080-************. You can refer to a complain generated in your system on 8th MARCH which is mailed to me on my cell as: Service request number 30264874. (This is repeat to my complain on 5th March)
The point here is planned corporate cheating by Airtel in clever manipulation at consumer bills.

I had subscribed broadband on 925 plan. As per the offer in few years back, I was promised I will get Rs 925 free call per month. For which the charge of Rs 925 is put for the broad band connectivity. If in any month I don’t have any call worth Rs 925 then it is the same call amount will be discounted. I was offered a 3GB free download package per month. Any additional data will be charged extra. In few months from subscription I checked and the plan as promised is getting reflected in billing correctly. THEN I STOPPED CHECKING BILLS RELIGIOUSLY .
After almost a period of more than 2 years I got surprised seeing this month’s bill. The free call is given for only Rs 425. Then there comes a very high manipulative data download rate for which additional amounts are charged. When in shock I called the call center the answer was the scheme offers only Rs 425 free calls! Then I went on checking some 2 to 3 previous bills where I found the free call discount is Rs 425 against Rs 925!! When I expressed that the agreement signed is for Rs 925 the call center person took a pause and told they will revert back. The next interesting manipulation came like this: After few days I called today. The call center told this is sorted out!! I enquired how and with whom. They told somebody called and explained my wife and my wife agreed there is no error in bill!! Where as the fact is something different and actually nothing of this sort had happened.
I forced the agent to explain me the same solution as claimed to be explained to my wife. First the call center told they cant re explain it!!!
With lot of argument the call center person told the Rs 425 is charged because it exceeded the free call quote of Rs 925!! I don’t need to explain and everybody can understand what is the factual technical error the call center is explaining.
The gist is like this. Airtel intentionally in a systematic way did this cheating after few months of subscription by providing correct bills initially. This need to be sorted out and required criminal case will be initiated by me for cheating by Airtel. I need the cheating amount immediately to be paid back.
Also I request TRAI to take necessary actions against Airtel to ensure all the people who would have cheated by me get back their dues.
