I had an airtel postpaid mobile connection no. 9954409131. I surrendered the connection in the month of December. That time, after adjustment of all the dues, I was entitled to get around Rs. 500/- as the refund of my deposit money. I was told that the company would directly send the cheque at my address. When I didn't receive the cheque, I enquired from the call centre about the status. Inspite of calling them repeatedly, I never got any satisfactory reponse. I was always given a complaint reference number with the promise that some one from the company would call me. But no one from the company ever contacted me. The call centre told me that their records say that the cheque has been sent to me in the month of March. But, I had not received any cheque so far. So, I asked them to furnish the details of the courier and the cheque number. The reply was that this is a confidential information and they would not give it to me. This is a shocking treatment by a company like airtel. I am even planning to lodge a legal case against the company.
