Received bill after closing connection which i had no knowledge of

Hello all,

I have been with Airtel for 8yrs now. Using a post paid connection. Last Feb09 i took an additional connection which i used only for 1month. I had to close it because my cousin was leaving India. I called up my executive to my office gave him the closure letter, and SIM then paid an amount of 365rs. I asked him whether there is anymore formalities to be done. He said NO

I left it at that. Now after 11months i get a letter from court mentioning i need to pay 1100 rupees for that connection.

When i contacted the customer care. They say the connection is still active but no calls/msgs are done.

I argued with them stating that i closed the connection on the day of my last payment. I have proof of payment and raised a complaint. But the problem is that the letter which i got has asked me to come to court on 28th Jan.

What the hell is wrong with DAMN AIRTEL.
