I purchased an Airtel prepaid SIM on 12 mar (9730420488) from Airtel dealer at Pune and submitted all documents. My SIM was activated same day. Subsequently I was called by Airtel verification team repeatedly and informed that the SIM is not registered in my name. One fine day oone of their agents called and then confirmed that all details have been corrected online while he was talking to me. However nothing was done.
I have raised atleast 7 mails to their nodal officer too and have been assured needful being done. Subsequently, on 4 April 11, I again submitted my documents to the dealer. Suddenly, on Sat 8 April 11, the SIM has been de-activated by Airtel. Serious issue is that Airtel staff entered wrong details and this can be a serious security issue if some one manipulates.
Probably to hide this seriuos lapse, SIM has been deactivated.
