Using my passport as proof of address for others

To All,

Don't know whether it happened to me only.

On my name I have taken 2 simcards for my brother and dad by producing passport as proof of address.

Recently my brother & DAd lost their mobiles and went to airtel & Reliance and checked its not on my name and is registered with some unknown users.

How come the proof of address is mismatched with others?

There could be something wrong in using the proof of address and I don't know whether

these guys are using my proof of address (passport) for some one else.
