We had travelled with this tour operator to Kailash Mansarovar. The travel agency is The Himalayan Hotels & Resorts with its office in mumbai. This travel agent didnt provide us with basic necessities like mineral water, proper basic food, accomodation. To the extent that there was no water in the hotel toilets at Taklakot. He sold our return flight tickets to other travellers and stranded us at simkot. In the bargain we missed and had to pay 30, 000/- per head extra for return fare and hotel accomodations. He had no medical assistance, not even basic oxygen cylinders in case of emergency. Not even a tablet for headache. He is not experienced and has no experience about the place. Doesnt know anything about the kailash parikrama, he has not even done the parikrama once in his profession as a tour operator. He hurts religious sentiments and scares the travelers with unfortunate incidents in the area. for a petty amount of 1000/- Rs he stranded our group of 20 for 3hrs. We had to arrange for the high altitude tablets on our own over there. He didnt follow the itenary and didnt show us any of the tourist spots, temples promised. Since the local language is tibetian there, we were totally helpless. Its only bcoz we had doctors as fellow travellers that we could reach back home safely. He runs a total mafia hand in glove with two other people in simkot. The total airport is controlled by these 3 people who only airlift you if you pay them extra. It was only bcoz of our approach to the President Of Indias office that we were back in India, safe & sound.
