One Mr. Prakash Shreshta of this travel agencyThe Himalayan Hotels & Resorts (HHR) took our package of 17 people from Nagpur to Kailash Mansarovar this year june. Our experience with this tour operator and his company was very disgusting. This man is a cheat and is not committed to his itinerary or his words. He did not provide us the basic facilities like mineral water, medicines, oxygen cylinders. There was no truck travelling with us to cook food for us. The food and water were very unhygenic but we had no alternative. Its end of August now and some of us are still suffering from stomach ailments. Thanks to The locals Tibetans there, who provided us with proper water and food when we paid extra amount to them. Mr. Prakash doesnt know anything about the Parikrama of Kailash and discourages & lies to the travellers about adverse weather conditionsjust to save a few bucks. Hence we cant go anywhere and because of language problems you canot communicate with anyone there. It was only from other tourists that we could find out that he was cheating and lying to us. Throught our trip he used to eat, drink and sleep in his room or disappear and leave us with our problems like no water in the toilets where he made booking for us, no fans, no mineral water etc. He did not show us a single tourist places promised in the itinerary. In hotels also he did not even arrange place for us to sit and eat. We were made to eat in the passage standing. He even sold our return helicopter tickets to other travelers for a bigger amount and took extra money from us to buy new tickets and for extra accommodation. All this is done on pretext of bad weather conditions, no flights etc. Travellers are tired and dont keep well in high altitude places like Simkot, Taklakot, Mansarovar etc. To top it your accomodation or tent is far away from the small airports. There is no communication outside or with people there because we are in Tibet/China. Especially at Simkot there are 3 people who run the flights and they are like a mafia there. They keep you stranded till you are fed up and willing to shell out money demanded by them, all this is done hand in glove with the tour operator, in our case this Prakash Shreshta. We were safe only because we had fellow doctors travelling with us, a friend was on drip/glucose for 5days and our MrPrakash was oblivious to all this. His associate one Mr Suraj who is supposed to be a sherpa kept telling us we would die if we went for the Parikrama. This is very tormenting in another country, with no facilities and places of high altitude and where you go once in a life time with full devotion. It was only because of our contacts with the President House of India that we were air lifted from Simkot. So please all of you who go to Kailash Mansarovar its a beautiful place made ugly by some of the travel agencies. so ugly that some people die there not because of climatic conditions or hardships but only because your tour operator is not willing to help you. Since its a holy place of high significance to Hindus/Jains/Budhist The government of India, China, Nepal should look into the matter and give license to only genuine Travel Agencies. I really cannot put in words our heart wrenching experiences with this Travel company, We have a whole video recording of this person and his gangs shameless behavior. We only thank Lord Shiva that we returned safe and sound..
