This morning after using the DishTV service for around 18 months the STB stopped working. (it stays in 'boot' mode forever) It was working fine till yeasterday.
After calling DishTV they immediately declared that the hardware is faulty without even helping the customer dignose the issue.
Also told me that a technical person will come visit us and we will have to pay all the charges up to Rs.600 for that visit.
From their behaviour it looks like as if they know that STB was going to go bad after using 18 months for sure.
The hardware provided by DishTV was certainly of very poor quality.
I am using Zenega D-6000 HD model.
If anyone has same issues please raise the voice and let DiscTV know what consumer can do if proper customer service is not provided.
