Seeking to find others who have a similar experiance and how you dealt with the situation. Recent direct Tv customer, within a week of service my cable is cut off due to a family member's previous debt with Direct TV. I was never part of the contract and because I resided at the same address, (not apartment), I am told that I am responsible for paying the debt and will not be able to have my service reinstated until paid in full. I was never informed of this in the contract, and direct tv stated, "well direct TV didn'texpect you to have a family memeber with a debt." Unethical, and in violation of many rights. Has anyone else experienced this?
