No installation done

I've been a very satisfied customer of two Airtel mobile numbers and a broadband connection for last 6 years. That prompted me to go for their 999 offer for digital TV. Applied through their website and next day an executive called up. Opted for south mega plan, paid through credit card and was given a transaction number of 9885779 on 20/07, about 11am. The money was recorded against my credit card immediately. Installation time was promised as 48 hours and was told that a customer ID will be SMSed to me.

Been 3 days. No news. Called up their customer centers multiple times. They just say customer id or name doesn't exist and hang up. Called 12148. I was told that installation will happen soon and given a number to followup (9223550071) - that number is not in service! I am a bit surprised that Airtel got this kind of customer service.
