It is shocking to see a "Global" company like Airtel can get away with substandard service... I am sure top mgt is not cheating but professionals do! I bought 2 Airtel Digital TV Connections in Mar 10 (after being fed up with Sun Direct Service -lured by ads and Tamil affinity(?!) during Sep 09-Mar 10 /Big TV for 1 year concurrently -best of all in retrospect- and Dish TV earlier for many years-zero service, good accounting!) as Airtel offered 15% Cash Back, I use 2 land lines 1 black berry!!It took about a month to settle down but they denied me the rebate as booking was done through customer service and not internet! I gulped it
Our families shifted from T Nagar and we got 2 more Airtel DTH in one dish as 50% rebate on 2nd unit.
Tragically, I got fooled by the marketing guy and after paying for 12 months I am told rebate will be there only after 12 months..Worse still, I paid Rs 3590/ per connection as per their tele info, now the system says "Two rupees and fortyfive paise is due" so they are not connecting the channels! Even worse is that the Complaint Nos are allotted and are closed unilaterally and we are asked to book fresh complaints for the same problem! What a shame for the Great Indian Multi National!.. Dozens of e-mails are not replied even once during last 6 months... Chennai Customer Service is "helpless"... and Call Centre system ensures discontinuity for no fault of people... there is no accountability, no transparency, no receipts for money, no worksheet... Yes, in nretrospecct, it is foolish to have trusted a "Big" name and feel cheated all the way! Is there any NGO who will take up and fight to correct or punish such irresponsible management style?
