I had paid for a second connection from Airtel DTH and paid for the connection 5 days back with the promise of installation in 2 days. However, since then I have had no contact from them, nor has anyone come to install the connection. I call everyday twice or thrice a day at 12148 which does not disconnect at all when buying a connection or making a payment but disconnects frequently as soon as you tell them it is a complaint.
I have filed several complaints and the promise of callback within an hour but no one calls.

If you are planning to take a secondary connection do not ever pay them before it actually gets installed.
