Disgraceful Service from AIRTEL DTH and Pitiable product
ID No. 3005150789
After going through the advertisement in the media, we have decided to upgrade our existing set top box to digital TV [HD) and sent an SMS to Airtel on 54325 on 2nd March.
Upon receipt of our SMS, we have got the call from Airtel DTH on 2nd March’11, who has advised us to pay requisite charges for upgrade existing set top box to digital TV [HD) through conference IVR call of Airtel DTH.
Accordingly our Citi Bank Card no. 5520 XXX0 XXXX 4026 has been debited for Rs.2, 265/- (Rupees Two Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Five Only) favoring AIRTEL DTHNAVI MUMBAIIN on 2nd March.
As confirmed by Airtel DTH preventatives, our HD set top box should have upgraded with in 24 hours. However, after constant follow up, HD setup box bearing STB No. 03356265932, View Card no. 000055251680, has been delivered to our house on 5th March.
To our surprise, upon installation of HD setup box, our Set up box is not been activated as the Airtel DTH account is not showing the recharge of Rs.2, 265/- done on 2nd March.
We are being fooled & our money is being wasted as we are at home in the weekend without TV, which is definitely disturbing as we are suffering for Airtel’s inefficiency.
After constant follow up with Airtel customer care on 12150, for a whole day, matter is still not been resolved.
We must admit, Airtel has found a novel way to increase their revenue from unsuspecting customers, . However, the ingenuity does not confirm the ethical business practice, which a company of your repute (which we guess) should pursue.
Airtel purpose should not be of increasing Customer’s strength, but giving valuable services to them as well.
we now eagerly look forward to your response.
Best regards,
