ECS deactivated without notification

Hi,

My account number is 02911610064640 (salary account from Accenture), I have applied for ECS with HDFC bank Sion (Mumbai) branch since about 1.5 years for LIC premiums numbered 883509814 and 883509815 for amounts Rs. 1021 and Rs. 2042 respectively. In the month of Feb the last premiums were paid via ECS and thereafter my LIC premiums are due. I have noticed this yesturday and confirmed with LIC company, they said that HDFC bank has stopped ECS on customer request. Hence I visited the bank today to understand the process of stopping ECS, they (Rahul Dudia and Roscoe) said that I have to give a written statement for this in a form without which stopping ECS payment will not happen. Then I asked to check about my ECS status and the issue that I am facing by explaining it to them. After understanding the issue, they changed their response that the LIC company might have stopped accepting via ECS or the tenure was of 2 years. This was not acceptable.

Well I am sure that I did not opt for 2 years which actually doesn't make any sense; and also Feb would not make 2 years by any chance. Furthermore, LIC do not have authority to stop ECS without notifying me. This directly indicates that the problem occurred at your end only. This type of service doesn't show any professionalism which even makes me feel insecured in banking with you. Now I am penalized by LIC just because of your mistake. I would definitely like to hear a response and a solution from you.
