Worst Service - HDFC BANK

Hi Guys,

I'm a frustrated HDFC Bank customer, Here I came to know meaning of word "Frustration". I have an savings a/c with HDFC a/c for many years and had two ECS set by ICICI Bank for my Home Loan and Personal Loan. I can imagine how the banks working in India... See how my story goes.

1. I closed my Home Loan to with ICICI Bank, upon closure of my Home Loan ICICI Bank advice me to stop ECS for my HOME LOAN from HDFC Bank. I was surprised that I can't stop my ECS by phone or net banking...(Wakeup guys... world is to ahead). For that I have to submit written form to HDFC Bank and that to I have to visit my base branch for submitting the application, can you believe that. Ok fine I did that, I submitted from to HDFC BANK for cancelation of ECS to my ICICI Home Loan, which again took 10 working days (another e-world example)... but when I was unaware it will make my life hell.

2. After a month, I started getting calls from ICICI Bank for my Personal Loan EMI's. This stupid HDFC Bank bankers stopped my Personal Loan EMI's along with my Home Loan ECS, well done guys. Now, as human being I 1st contacted ICICI Bank to know the reason for ECS rejection, the bank confirmed it was STOP PAYMENT by HDFC. Ok fine, I call HDFC customer support*** (I shouldn’t use this name) for knowing the reason. 1st they asked me call my base (home) branch for my all ECS queries, then I kept calling Home Branch, they just don't know how banking sector works. Many times answer was HDFC has not STOPED PAYMENT, I need to contact ICICI BANK for clarification. As stupid hope, I did that for them, but here the problem is with HDFC. Ok finally one executive from base branch excepted that it has been stopped by HDFC, now he asked me call customer care to get in touch with ECS department who sets/cancels ECS. Called customer care, rubbish service I ever had, they are not enough educated on their products, answer was there is no such ECS department in HDFC (is what I understood a joke). Then my call got transferred to Loan department in HDFC, here I found the person with some brain and understood the problem, he transferred my call to HDFC Complaint department to register my complaint against home branch. Funny thing is there is on to answer my call. I kept on calling and no response...

Now finally, could you imagine that I'm calling from UK for all these stupid mess-ups done by HDFC.
