Irresponsible with customers posessions

I'm complaining about the negligence of the security at Crossword and the absence of a security camera.

I had been to Crossword book store at Nirmal Lifestyle mall Mulund on 11th July. I had an umbrella with me and asked the security person to keep it in the storage space where a token is issued for any customer items are stored there temporarily.

Since it was only one umbrella, he said I could leave it in a plastic tub which was kept for wet umbrellas. My umbrella was not wet, but I left it there. When I returned to collect it, my umbrella was missing.

The security person and the employees were polite, saying that there is nothing they could do and that no Crossword store has a security camera (which is untrue), but I feel it is irresponsible of the store to allow people to leave their items there without being given a token and then washing their hands off the matter when it gets stolen.

I have written my name and number in their register along with a description of the umbrella, in-case anyone returned it, but I haven't received any call as yet.

Please take action against this irresponsible method that Crossword has, of storing customers possessions.
