I had booked an e-ticket on 23.07.2008 for travel on 05.08.08 from Chennai Central to Hyderabad by A/c II Tier by Charminar Express (Fare Rs.1139 20). Since I could not perform the journey due unavoidable circumstances, I tried Cancellation of my e-ticket (PNR No.4265085604, Transaction ID No.0057560754) on 05.08.08 at 1700 Hrs. but I could not, since the IRCTC website flashed the message "chart prepared - ticket cannot be cancelled".
As advised, I sent an e-mail to [email protected] giving the details of my ticket, etc. and requested for refund of amount admissible. Till date I have not received the refund. But they mail me saying that I have lodged the claim after 30 days! though I preferred the claim on the very same day of my supposed day of journey. Will any one enlighten me as to how I should proceed further in the matter?
