I am a student in the UK. I am studying on a very tight and strict budget. I have taken a loan that is o support my studies. However, due to this Matrix sim I have taken it seems that I may have to sell my house to repay the amount.
Our university endorsed the Matrix sim at the time of induction in India at Kochi. I along with my 3 friends took the sim card with a contract of 12 months with 10 pounds being the monthly rental. The rates being 12p per call to India and local in the UK. They also have a scheme of 70mins in UK and calls to India free. They had also promised 100 mins of calls free from the time of activation of the sim.
Now after I activated the sim, I had called the customer care to find out whether I could get 100 mins just to confirm. They said, its only 70 mins. And the prices offered by matrix are exhorbitant compared to the sims available in the UK. Once the bill comes about, there is no mention of the 70 free minutes. They took a cheque of INR 10000 from me (postdated). I do not have the financial capacity to pay the monthly rental and the bill. I wanted to cut the connection but they tell me that since its a 12 month contract, I would have to pay them for all the months to cut the connection.
Could you please tell me how I could go about disconnecting this sim?
