Harassing/ forcing the customer too much

I am an Airtel customer for the past many years. during the recent years, I had changed my local address many times. today by about 3.45 I got a call, claiming to be from AirTel. she asked me what is my address, saying that that was for address verification. I said, years before i took the connection. the precise address i had given then is not known to me. Presently you can take my address as G-5. Ramanujan Computing Center Anna University.. Even before i could finish it, she said, "wrong address, mismatch with what is given and what you are saying, You are to give a fresh address proof". I asked what address is written there in my form? she said, nothing can be divulged to the customer? I asked, if do not furnish fresh address proof, what will happen? For which even before she had answered, failing which, your connection will be cut. I said, I can not and need not do that. do as you like. Evey now and then, go there, do that, i can't do. I asked whether i can talk to any body above you? she connected me to a team leader? He said, he was Charles... i said, my name, and details, like different addresses and so how can you say wrong address? how can you say, once again address proof?.. then he began to say, it is that rule, (DOT...?) that i should do so, ie go to teh nearest AirTel Show Room and furnish address proof and one pasport size photo. I asked what if i do not? in how many days, are you going to cut my conneciton? he says, he can not say that! then i said, i will not go to nearest... if they come i can give them. he was asking me how do they know my address? i said, whichever address is there in my original form, to that address they can come or send a copy of the new rule. I asked how can i know who is calling me? cheating or not?... i also said, when it comes to giving away a SIM card, in evey petty shop, it will be available. when it comes to our submitting anything we should go to nearest Show Room. I saidm if there is as how room like that in 200mts of my place, i will do. else will not. your duty is to send an information to the address specified there in the application. if the customer is not responding, let him lose the conneciton. I said, i am not going tto a Show room to submit records, rather, if they want a customer, let soemoen come collectiong these from me. ot him also i asked, if i do not submit what willhappen and in how many days? he says, he can not sayt that? how can i belive him then? I told him to send a copy of the ruls, to RCC Anna University, iuf they want a customer. Else i will go get another connection with the same effort. he was asking me to call 198... some customer care or... But my experice with all these numbers i told him "electronic reply, the purpose of mine will never be addressed in the options, and will be spending half an hour there. no humans will talk to us or solve our problem".

in between he was saying the address i said, is right. nothing wrong with it. then why should he get one more copy of the application? the why should the first girl say wrong address! this or that way you want to force the customer do all for you?

so i decided to go for a new connection if AirTel can not convince me of the rule and collect the details from me than i go in search of them.

this type of forcing one to their network can not be tolerated
