Central Bank Of India
Not nofifying for dishonoured cheque

With respect, I am Archana Jain, I am holding a saving account (no. 1257660365) in bank “Central Bank of India”, Nehru palace Jaipur.

I did deposit a cheque (no. 016305) of amount Rs. 25, 000 dated 21st Dec on 5th Jan. Because of I was pregnant, I couldn’t follow up bank about clearing of this cheque to my account. But I was in impression that bank will contact me in case of any problem. After my delivery when I did updated my passbook entries at bank, I found that above mentioned cheque was dishonoured because of difference in signature.

I did specify contact number behind the cheque and of course bank has my address information, but they never did inform about this. When we asked about this problem to bank person that why they didn’t contact us, they just said it’s not a Bank responsibility to inform about refund cheques.

This is really a very disappointment reply I ever get from a Bank. How come they can escape from this kind of rights of their customers.

I am requesting you to look into this matter, as this case is more than six months old, I am not sure how to deal with party, so that’s an another problem for me.

I am expecting a honest action from your side.
