I am having a credit card from HDFC Bank. Due to some ill health I had quit my job for few months and I haven’t paid the dues on time. But from last six months I am trying to settle my card in some installments for an amount of Rs 15000 to Rs 18000. I havent received the statements from last one year and as per their records outstanding amount is Rs 37, 000/-.But every month HDFC collection agency executives are collecting the minimum amount from me saying that they will give me settlement after paying the minimum dues. After collecting the money HDFC person by such name will disappear and in any way I can’t reach them ask for the settlement. It has been happening from the six month and already around Rs 15000 is drawn from HDFC from my salary account. Now they are telling bank has stopped giving settlement till April and asking me to pay the minimum dues till April. Is it true? whether they can give the settlement after April or simply they are palying a game? Can anybody suggest me what to do now and if anybody know the proper phone number plese help me.
