Charging the membership Fee for the LIFE TIME FREE CARD

After getting numerous calls from HDFC bank, I finally confirmed to have a Credit Card, as told by the Bank Executive "Priya" that as i'm holding a Salary account in their bank, they offer me to avail Platinum Plus Chip Card with Life Time Free Offer. I told her strictly that i'll apply only when there no annual or membership charges. She confirmed and sent executive (Mr. Arvind) along with the application form along with the form for lifetime free offer.

I got the card on 31st Jan., when i check the un-billed status for the card online i found they charged me 440 Rs as membership fee. And registered a complaint at phone banking no. (Ref No 12034728334) on 3/2. But till now i didn't get any resolution from back. Despite of this when i called again on the phone banking no. they told u have to again call us to know about the status of your complaint and i don't why such big name bank ruin their reputation for few hundreds of rs..
