CIBIL issue

Dear Sir,

I had been using a HSBC credit card #4384 5999 9844 6776. Unfortunately due to my father's health problem followed by his sudden demise and change in my location, there was an outstanding in the card account when it was closed. But later I had contacted the bank and as per their instruction I had cleared the asked amount. Then they had confirmed me that, there is no outstanding against the card. During this transaction, my CIBIL record was updated with a negative profile. But even after settling the account, the bank didnt correct it in CIBIL and now when I asked the bank to do the necessary correction, they are saying that they cant do this. Pls help me in correcting my cibil record.
