Dear Sir,
Currently I have a dispute with HSBC for my credit card XXXX XXXX XXXX 8310. Here are my concerns.
HSBC have sent the renewed card after I canceled this card (cancellation through Customer care on 19 Jul Sent letter on 21 July) after paying my last my outstanding dues of amount Rs. 2940/- on 19 Jul.
HSBC delivered the renewed card to someone else in India without seeing my identity and when I was in USA and even after the card was canceled.
The card was misused with some transactions in India when I was abroad.
After coming back to India, when I requested for a new card, I came to know that card has been misused and there is outstanding dues on this card. Following this I received monthly statements.
I sent a written complaint to HSBC asking for the clarifications and as per HSBC's letter, the renewed card has been delivered on 24 July and on this date I was abroad.
I have forwarded copy of my cancellation letter which I sent for cancellation of the card and copy of my passport saying dates of my stay out of India.
Here are the dates during 2007 when I was abroad. Sent copy of passport showing these dates that I was out of India.
(11 Jun - 05 Jun)
(04 Jul - 21 Apr)
(20 May - 21 Jun)
I am approaching a consumer forum to resolve this matter. However recently I found that my name has been reported to CIBIL as a defaulter.
Would appreciate if HSBC could let me know how my details are shared with CIBIL as a defaulter when there is a dispute and this transactions are not done by me as I have never received the renewed card.
After this issue, I have canceled all my credit cards and currently I am looking for a home loan which might ight get rejected because of CIBIL report. Request your intervention in resolving this matter.
Regards,
B Panda
