Non receipt of my cheque

Dear Sir,

Ref: HSBC credit card No.4384599994309135.

I am your customer who maintains a good payment track. This time even though I had made the payment in time, your office had reminded me of a default payment. I had given details of the cheque no. etc. and they could not locate the same.perhaps this might be a lapse from the collection dept. i would request you to check the same and also ensure that I am not penalised.
