Hi,
I used HSBC Credit card for Rs. 6550 in May, 06. I have made the payment also. But, bank debited Rs. 6550 for the second time. When I asked the reason, I was told the card was used twice for the same transaction. I told the fact that I have used only once. Then the bank people told me to collect the amount from the shop and pay the amount. After 3 months, when I asked the bank people that the shop person is not giving the money, they told me to lodge a complaint. I gave a written complaint to the bank upon which they reversed Rs. 6550, but did not reverse the interest of Rs. 2500. They told me that once the issue is resolved in 50 business days, then they will reverse this amount. However after 1 and half year they told me that I need to pay Rs. 2500 which I dont need to pay. After that they called me again and again to pay this amount and kept levying tax on this which has now become Rs. 12500. Now, they sent me a legal notice to pay Rs. 16000. What do I do on this issue with HSBC bank?
