I had paid my credit card bill by cheque much before the due date. Fair enough I got a call that my cheque has not been received. Aftewr no. of mails to Customercare I was informed that the card no. is wrong on the cheque and hence the same could not be encashe. I put in a n ICCI Bank cheque on 9/7 in the drop box at Tot Mall Sector62 Noida at 3 PM. I was informed the receipt of cheque would take 3 days. After five days today I get a call that the payment has not been made hence I would not be able to use my card. This is absurd when the current bill received today on mail reflects this outstanding amount alongwith interest for which due date is 29th July. How can then my card be blocked. I have on my own been writing mails to customer care to tell me the latest status nand lo and behold I geta mail from them that my cheque of 24th June could not be encashed because of wrong card no. and I am addressed as Mr Shankar where as Iam Ms Anurag Shankar (Female). It seems that nobody is serious about customercare they dont go into the full correspondence do not coordinate with other related departments etc. etc. I wish that people on help dsks are more resposible and professional in their jobs. They are more of harrasment officers than customer service officer. Being a senior citizen old customer and being making timely payments this attitude hurts. email address [email protected]
