I opted to take from ICICI Prulife a policy under Pinnacle Fund. I was told by Amrish Misrani of ICICI Bank, Thane West branch that there is no medical required. Cheques were taken amounting to Rs 50, 000 each and they got debited on 23rd November. On 23rd I received a call from ICICI that the underwriters have requested for some medical examination. This was considered as a breach of contract and I told the agent of my intention to withdraw. Till date I have been following up and following up (in between Jagruti from ICICI Pru Life came and took even a copy of the cancelled Cheque so that the amount canbe credited to my Bank account) and there is no trace of getting the funds. The new version given today is that my name in application is not tieing up with my Pan card. My pan card name is my Maiden name and on the Application is post marriage. AT the time of the application prior to 23rd November also this was spotted the marriage certificate was given to prove that am the same person. This is getting very murkier and ridiculous. The application had the support of the Passport copy and now per the agent I have to send scan copy of the Passport copy to [email protected] since the copy given at the time of application is scanned and is kept by another department of ICICI Pru life and I have to submit again.
