Delay in opening of 3 in 1 account and non opening of saving account

Dear Sir,

I am customer of IDBI bank since United Western Bank. I am having my account at IDBI Parli-Vaijnath branch since last eight to ten years. Now I reside at Latur.

On 19/7 I have approach to IDBI Latur branch to open three-in-one account, for that purpose I have filed a account opening from duly completed in all respect by depositing Rs 50000/-. IDBI bank has credited Rs 49300/- in my name stating as new account on counterfoil of pay-in-slip and balance Rs 700/- as a demat account opening charges. While accepting money bank has informed me to submit a net worth certificate from CA. At that time I have submitted self attested net worth certificate to bank. After few days bank asked me to submit two blank cheques of my Parli-Vaijnath account. Since I reside at Latur I have spent 15-20 days to get cheque book from Parli-Vaijnath branch. After receipt of cheque book from Parli-Vaijnath Branch I have submitted the two blank cheques to Latur branch. Again after few days bank asked me to submit a CA certified net worth certificate of my asset. To comply all required formalities of bank I have immediately submitted the CA certified Net worth certificate to the bank on 6/9.IDBI branch officials dealing this matter has confirmed that now nothing to left to comply from my end.

In this regard I wish to bring to notice some facts about opening 3 in 1 account.

1) In last week of Sept. IDBI branch officers dealing with 3 in 1 account has told me that my 3 in 1 account has opened and accordingly I will receive communication on my address. Bank has not communicated anything till I lodged complaint to customer care on 22 /10/ 2010.

2) After my continuous follow-up with IDBI branch on 9 th of Sept. 2010 when I called to Branch Head he has informed me that "our central processing office has activated IDBI demat account and you will receive communication from them within 2-3 days on IDBI address. " Till I not received any paper from IDBI.

3) On 11 th of Sept. 2010 I received a mail from of customer care stating that, " We had taken up the matter with concerned officials and understand that IDBI DEMAT account has been opened and TRADING account number will get processed shortly. Kindly bear with us." That means customer care is also not confirm on that date.

4) On 18 th Sept. 2010 I received a mail from Shri Santosh Potdar, Branch Head stating that, “With reference to IDBI 3 in 1 a/c has been processed. You will receive detailed communication on ID from Central Processing Unit directly at IDBI address. Till that please bear with us. “Till today I not received any paper from IDBI.

5) On 24/11 I had talk with IDBI capital at Pune on number forwarded by Branch Head, Latur regarding query of opening of saving a/c. He told me that' he is not looking after the saving a/c opening work. It is at Mumbai office. He also told that Mumbai office has linked my demat to my Parli -Vaijnath a/c.

As I have applied for 3 in 1 a/c that is it includes new saving a/c too. But IDBI has not opened a separate saving a/c at Latur. Therefore I have applied for transfer of my Parli a/c to Latur on dt. 25/11. The transfer of a/c is yet under process. I don’t know how days time require for transfer of a/c.

6) On 25/11 onward I made correspondence in respect of password and welcome kit.

7) On 1/12 I personally went to office of the professional courier at Latur to collect the envelope of welcome kit. They are unable to find out the same. The fact is conveyed to IDBI customer care on toll free number. They have told me that they are unable find out on which address the welcome kit and password has been dispatched. They are also informed me that IDBI Capital has updated wrong e-mail id in the system.

8) After receipt of mail from [email protected] on dt. 1/12. I have approached to office of the professional courier at Parli-Vaijanath on cell, they verified all his record and informed that till today he has not received any envelope from IDBI of given POD number. I also approached to the Post master but he also told me that till today they have not received any envelope on my name.

9) On 3/12 I have approached to Shri Vikas Gujrati, CCR Department, of IDBI Capital and conveyed them all above mentioned facts. He told me IDBI Capital and IDBI bank is separate companies and we are not aware about why the delay in sending form to us by IDBI. He advised me to send written application for changing address and e-mail ID. I have sent two letters to him along with photocopy of pan card and recent electricity bill as proof address. On 9th of Dec. it is learnt from the customer care of IDBI capital that IDBI Capital has corrected the email ID but not changed the address. On my request system has generated new password but I am unable to trade because the trading page of IDBI Capital is opened in the internet explorer 6. Now internet explorer 9 has came I tried to uninstall the latest version internet explorer and install the internet explorer 6 along with java software link provided by IDBI capital on web page and tried to open trading page but I am unable to do so. Since transfer of my saving account is still under process and I have not received password of net banking so I am unable to allocate money to trading and trade in market.

In this regard my main complaint is :

1) IDBI Bank has delayed in opening of demat account and trading account from 19/7 to 22/11 not opened a separate saving account at Latur.

2) IDBI Capital has updated wrong address and e-mail ID in the system.

4) Money accepted for opening of saving account has kept in suspense account for few days and there after it is has been transferred to my Parli-Vaijanath account. Till today I am unable to utilize the amount deposited by me on 19/7.

Because of non opening of my demat account by IDBI bank, I have loose to trade in shares since 19/7/210 and also lost the greatest opportunity to invest in largest IPO of Coal India

Considering the above facts please help me in getting justice.
