Hi... consumer-voice,

I am using ABN credit card since last 2.5 years without any issue but this time for the last month I faced issue related to huge unnecessary/unacceptable charges.

Payment of my credit card use for the due date was on December 23. The total amount due was Rs. 324.00.

Actually, I have submitted last month due cheque in aab drop box available in my office on 17 Dec 09 and collection of cheque is not happened on time from ABN bank people hence I faced this trouble.

Fault from bank towards cheque collection delay why should I pay... why should customer suffer unnecessary.

I can't agree for this unnecessary Finance charges of Rs 529.91 for total amount due was only Rs. 324.00. There is no logic.

ABN bank is agreed for the reversal of Late fee of Rs.350.00 along with the associated service charges but now they declining for the reversal of Finance charges of Rs 529.91. They supposed to reverse both charges of late fee and finance.

Please refer the below mail correspondences with bank and help me to resolve the issue.

Same way you have to revert back Finance charges - Rs 529.91 also, your

clarification is unacceptable.

I already mention "I have submitted last month due cheque in aab drop box available in my company on 17 Dec 09 and collection of cheque is not happened on time from your side hence I faced this trouble".

Fault from your side why should I suffer!!!

If you not reverting back this unnecessary charges then definitely you loosing valuable customer. overall due to this approach I am not happy and I have holded to use this aab card. once matter is resolve I will start use else I will take it up this complain with consumer fouram.

Please revert back Finance charges and confirm me by return mail.

Dear Mr. Vipul,

We refer to your email dated January 05.

We wish to inform you that as per our records we have received the cheque number 313471 of Rs.324.00 for processing on 29/12 and the same has been applied to your card account on 30/12. However the due date for the payment was 23/12.

Please note that late fees are levied due to non payment of at least minimum amount due within payment due date. The finance charges are levied due to non payment of total outstanding within payment due date.

However as a service gesture we have reversed the late fee of Rs.350.00 along with the associated service and the reversal will reflect in your next card statement. However we regret that we will not be able to reverse the finance charges on your card account.

We have also reversed the card replacement fee of Rs.200.00 along with the associated service tax. The reversal will be a part of your next card statement.

We request you to make the payment as per the statement to avoid further accrual of charges on your account.

You may also quote the reference number 00230638568, in case you need

any further clarification on the above resolution.

Hi...

My AAB Card No is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

This month statement I have found huge unnecessary charges of Rs 1191.14 and surprised!!!

I have called customer care and my complain reference no is 230211452. I have not received any satisfactory answer hence this mail.

Below is my complain...

Total unnecessary charges of Rs 1191.14 of as below.

Late fee - Rs 350

Replacement card fee - Rs 200

Finance charges - Rs 529.91

Service Tax - Rs 111.23

I have submitted last month due cheque in aab drop box available in my company on 17 Dec 09 as same way used earlier. It should reach to you before my due date 23 Dec 09. Then why Late fee charges? please revert back.

I have requested to replace my existing card as magnetic tape is not working as complained by petrol pump fellow. There is no any fault from my side but just card quality issue. When I have requested I have clearly mention this reason and that fellow given me assurance no charges will be application as replacement of nonfunctining card and now I am surprised by seeing this charges on my statement. I clearly told him no need to send me new card if any charges involved and i will discontinue using aab card and will use other ones.

once that fellow confirm me on no charges will be deducted on card Replacement, after that I have called service center person on this issue and she told me to call again after two days to check. so I am not happy if number of times I have to communicate you on this issue.

So far I am paying my bill regularly then also above problem, I am upset now. If my problem will be not resolved on priority I will discontinue to use this card.

Please confirm me on revert back all above unnecessary charges of Rs 1191.14.
