Dear Sir,
We are having medi claim policy from National Insurance since last 5 yrs for myself, mother and father with SA of Rs. 1.50 Lacs each. This time we have handed over a blank cheque to our insurance agent (Mr. Rajesh Sharma M# 9871110237) prior to 20 days from EDC which was 18-Mar. And the policy got renewed on 28-Feb-11 as well.
Now are in receipt of Regd. letter dt. 06-Apr from National Insurance, received on 20-Apr bearing dispatch date as 15-Apr, that our premium cheque has been dishonoured on 04-Mar due to alternations in instrument and insurance co. will issue a fresh policy once premium is remitted, which is not acceptable to us.
Now, we would like to state that there was adequate time of 14 days with insurance co. to intimate policy holder about cheque dishonour and we could have remitt Cash / draft in such instance prior to Renewal date.
Since, there is problem with Agent side and we are not in fault anywhere, we strongly request to continue the old policy. We do hereby undertake that from the EDC of the policy till premium submission date, we shall not file any claim. But the policy shall have to be continued. Also pl take action against Agent as he is not co-operating at all.
Pl take this request on priority basis and share consent letter / e-mail so that premium cheque / cash can be deposited and policy can be issued from the original EDC.
Bank statement proof confirming cheque bounce date can be presented if required.
regards,
Anuj Kalia
