On Wednesday, 8th September I was at the Bharat Petroleum outlet on Baner Road, Pune for filling the petrol tank of my Swift Dzire Petrol car. I specifically requested the petrol attendant to fill-in Rs. 500 worth of petrol in the car fuel tank. However, instead of petrol, he filled-in diesel in the tank thus impacting the engine.
My car stopped soon after I left the petrol pump and I went back to the pump and confronted the petrol pump person. He admitted that by mistake he had filled-up diesel instead of petrol.
This mistake has resulted in my car being towed to the Maruti Service Center and the fuel tank being cleaned at my cost. The cost of this has been t the tune of INR 2000. Additionally I have no use for the INR 500 worth of diesel filled in the tank. My total damage has been to the tune of INR 2500 with possible future impact on the engine of the car. Additionally, I have gone through mental trauma in getting the car repaired and the uncertainity over the future of the car which is worth over INR 500000. Please take this up with Bharat Petroleum and let me know how I can recover at least my damages of INR 2500.
