Sirs,
we all know the security concerns shown when there was a terrorist strike in Mumbai. there was a lot of talk but no action like all government departments your department has and is failing to provide adequate security to the general commuter. its a joke to see some so called policemen/policewomen stationed at all stations, lazing it out on the bench provided. they seem least bothered about security leave alone doing their duty. it all seems just an eyewash.
if you go on a railway bridge say at Andheri (southmost) you will find hawkers selling all kind of commodities you will also get x-rated movies if needed, sold openly without any fear. is the railways into some new business may i ask??
go to Dadar, Bandra, Bhayander etc you will find out what i mean. on several occasions i have tried to lodge a complain at the station. they will try their level best not to give you the complain register all that they do is to make a call to the railway police and that's it.
who is accountable for this lapse in security and you must realise we the general commuter is deprived the proper use of the bridge meant for us. we have to undergo all sorts of inconvenience because of your irresponsible staff.
its disgusting to see the government giving you staff the sixth pay commission salary scale for such inefficient work.
i hope the sense of duty, responsibility and accountability prevails and the poor commuter given his/her due.
