I have purchased Hero Optima Plus Electric Bike from the authentic dealer of hero electrics in jabalpur (M.P.)- Rahul motors in august. I got 1 year guarantee on the deal. The time I purchased the bike, the agency assured me to provide an after sale service even after the guarantee period. But just as the guarantee period was over, the behavior of the dealer was suddenly changed. He was very rude and asked for unreasonable prices even for some very simple services.
Approximately two months back, I got some problem with my bike. My bike stopped running at all. I went to the dealer (rahul motors) and told them about my problem. They checked and told me that a part of my bike (motor controller) is not working and needs to be changed. I tried to know the approximate price of the part from different sources :
price estimation from hero electrics, guna: rs.2100
price estimation from yo bike, adhartal center, jabalpur: rs.2500
price estimation from rahul motors, jabalpur: more than rs.3500
I even talked to a person from hero electric, mr. Gautam. He agreed to the fact that the dealers of rahul motors are not providing a good service to the customers as they have received many complaints about them. Still the company have not cancelled their dealership on papers, neither it has provided any other agency/Option for the consumers to get services. (It has been more than 1 year.) Instead they courier me the part from an other agency (seoni, M.P.). I had to go to the yo bike center to get the service. Even after spending rs.2300 (including services charges) my bike was not working. After a recheck I was told that the batteries of my bike needs to be replaced. Followings are the prices I got from these three agencies:
price estimation from hero electrics, guna: rs.7500
price estimation from yo bike, adhartal center, jabalpur: rs.8500
price estimation from rahul motors, jabalpur: rs.9500
I had already waited one month and it takes extra time to receive the item from courier. So I purchased the batteries from yo bike. As it would reach approximately the same price after paying for the service. But my bike is still not working!!! now, the dealers from yo bikes say that the charger of the bike is also not working. And I will have to replace that too. I do not know if the charger is repairable or not. Even if it is repairable, the yo bike dealers cannot repair it as it does not belong to their company.
I would like to know what actions should I take? should I take an action against the dealer or the company or both? as the company is saying, "we are trying to provide a service center in jabalpur." But I have faced enough problems and it has been 2 months now. Where do I consult/Complain about it? how do I get a compensation? how much time and money would it take? please let me know the procedure and the documents I would need to present.
